005 Memorize The Bible With Me – The New Has Come! – 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

by Dan Horner on January 29, 2012

In Christ, the new has come!

Before we put our faith in Jesus we were separated from God.  We could never be good enough.  At least not on our own.

Yet there is still this tendency in all of us that thinks we can somehow make enough personal improvements in our lives that we can work to close the gap between us and God.

But that’s not the way it works.

Being in Christ is what changes us and it’s God who closes the gap.  That’s called “Reconciliation” and it comes through Jesus.

Thirty-eight of the most wonderful words

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ
and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

The old has gone, the new has come!

Honestly, this changed my life.  I still can’t believe it.  A new creation, alive in Christ.  I’m very grateful for this gift.

Thank you again for joining me this week.   I hope this podcast is helping you as much as it is helping me.

For the first time ever, I am actually finding a little success with Bible Memorization.
