MemorizeTheBibleWithMe.comA Big Thank You for listening to this PodCast.

I honestly can’t believe it.  There have been downloads of Memorize The Bible With Me in Canada, the UK, Australia, Phillipines, Singapore and throughout the US.

I’m not trying to say there are thousands – far from it – more like 200.  I’m just saying that I’m completely surprised.  Honestly I started this project for my benefit and thought maybe it would help a couple of other people – maybe 10?

This weeks verses talk about life’s inevitable troubles.

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

James 1:2-4

Difficulties, Pressures, Trials, Troubles

We all have them.  Personally I don’t like them.  But I wanted to commit this Bible verse to memory because it emphasizes that we have an intelligent choice to make.

I see an action on my part:  consider it an opportunity for great joy.”

Sounds like a choice to rejoice in the possible maturing results lifes troubles bring in my life.

I don’t know about you, but this does NOT come naturally for me.

Not “tested” as if God is trying to play some sort of little “trick” on you.  Messing with your life to see if you can figure out some cheap little riddle in a game where you are the pawn.

No, this “tested” simply means purified, proven or found to be true.

When you look to God during life’s troubles you reinforce your commitment to and confidence in Him.  This is enduring faith – and it builds over time.

Thank you again for joining me this week.

I hope this podcast is helping you as much as it is helping me.
