009 Memorize The Bible With Me – Nothing Can Separate Us – Romans 8:38-39

by Dan Horner on February 26, 2012

MemorizeTheBibleWithMe.comGod planned to redeem the human race from the very beginning.

Sometimes I really need to remind myself of this.  Not because someone has annoyed me – far from that!  I simply mean that life has a way of causing me to forget about the big picture – God’s Plan!  I get far too caught up in my little world at times.

God “foreknew” us

That’s the context of the Memory Verse for this week.  Guess you could also say that God “foreloved” us and purposed to redeem us in eternity past.

The mechanism of that redemption is Jesus Christ and he becomes our Advocate before God when we place our faith in Him.

Paul even asks the question, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” (vs. 35a)

Nothing Can Separate Us!

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39

I think Paul was really trying to make a point!

“nor ANY powers….”

“nor ANYTHING ELSE in all creation…”

Yes, I added the emphasis.  But this is a powerfull truth.  One that Jesus himself wanted us to understand in John 10:27-30.  (Episode 007 – No One Can Snatch Them Away – John 10:27-30.)
